5,714 GabrielFangster70  13 days ago

Objective: Design and build an aircraft that meets the specified requirements, showcasing your creativity and attention to detail. In this case I want to see who can make the birdcage variant of the F4u corsair the most realistic, and the most accurate to the real life variant, called the F4u-1 Corsair

f4u-1 aboard the enterprise circa 1943

Rules:

• Must be a successor to this post

• no mods (use funky trees or label or xml)

• Try your best

• Add little details (optional but still go on)

• Put the instructions of how to use the airplane in the craft instructions only

• You can include variations of your main build. That is for example a famous pilot's f4u-1, a f4u-1 in royal navy FAA (Fleet air arm) Livery, or a f4u-1 from a different us aircraft carrier etc it's your choice

• Arm it to your will

• SPVR update stuff and parts are required

•f4u-1A corsairs don’t count. Just F4u-1 corsairs.

Judging Criteria:

• Looks (authenticity, detail, design)
• Functionality (flight performance, weapons, logic)
• Description (background story, design choices)
• Overall rating (on a scale of 1-10 highest being 10, 10 is best )

Awards/Recognition:

• First place will get a spotlight from me(or if your pts are higher than mine on first place, a shoutout from me) second and third place will get an upvote from me.

Timeline:

  • Challenge starts: April 16 2024 (today)
  • Challenge ends: July 27 2024

Good luck and Godspeed

Extra comments: this Corsair variant was the one who started the f4u and a7 Corsair family tree, first seeing action during the near end of 1942 and being used by both the us navy and the fleet air arm.
