1986 Welmade Enchantress

23.9k Rymanx03  3.0 years ago

Believe it or not, Welmade made an effort to push themselves into the B-class rally series. After years of testing safety systems, drivetrain layouts, engine and suspension designs, they finally designed their race car and started production on the mandatory 400 road models. However, the extra time spent in design was time and money wasted, as Group B was shut down later that year. They only managed to build one race car, and this is it. However, the road-going sports car was a huge success with the public. Their final design includes a naturally aspirated mid-engine layout, with AWD and their recently developed compact pushrod suspension. The mix resulted in a fast and fairly stable car, that could be easily thrown into corners by the driver's input. Lastly, they put it all into an aerodynamic body, which had retractable headlights to minimize drag in all possible ways.

Controls are pitch and yaw for basic driving, 1-4 for all lights, and 7 to flip your car back onto it's wheels.
