Mk.8 Catapult w/ Observer Mk.2

The Mk.8 Catapult is my definitive catapult and please disregard the old post.

INSTRUCTIONS
I have made some improvements on the aircraft itself. It has better, much more realistic performance and the engine now starts upon AG.8, having one less activation group than the Mk.7. This could be annoying to hear at first but turning off AG.8 isn’t that hard and you can switch the input of the engine using Overload.

Now, to launch the aircraft, press AG.7.

Unlike the Mk.7, the Mk.8 is smoother and you don’t have to do anything to keep the aircraft from exploding because I disabled aircraft collisions, again I should’ve done that before. The plane will just smoothly launch from the catapult like it should.

As for the aircraft compatibility the pistons are really not able to support aircraft in their 1:1 weight and I suggest that you remove the fuel from the aircraft itself and decrease the mass on some of the parts until the catapult accepts it. This maybe won’t be a problem if you use the catapult on an actual flight deck where the aircraft’s wheels will having something to rest on thus removing this problem, but I have not yet checked though I think it is possible. The Observer on the catapult has fuel, contradicting what I’ve said but I’ll leave it there just because it already works fine.

Enjoy, -UC
