Auto Credit Based on B1's (OPEN) The 1960s Challenge by B1
The JACKHAMMER was a 60's concept of a supersonic bomber carrying a nuclear payload, and the capability of flying to the Soviet union, and back, from Hawaii. It met this requirement with massive wings and 3 afterburning engines bringing the jet to 1100 miles per hour. it was capable of flying at 60,000-65,000 tops, and once glided on the ocean on accident for 1.5 seconds. due to the nose shape, it makes it hard to see the runway from the cockpit during landings, so the nose has a landing camera connected to a monitor in the cockpit for landing. Pilots have to go through special training to land with the camera, due to its position on the plane.
