F-15IDN Is the Indonesian variants for the US Made F-15EX.
The Acquisition began with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in 2023 as an initial commitment to purchase the F-15EX made by Boeing, the signing was carried out by the Indonesian MoD and Boeing officials.
There has been no follow-up to this purchase, but it is likely that the contract will be signed in 2025 as part of Indonesia's future strategic defense plan. around 24 to 36 units can be purchased by Indonesia as stated in the DSCA statement. The F-15 is the platform dreamed of by the Indonesian air force in securing Indonesia's vast territory. The F-15 Will Probably replacing the "Hangar Queen" Su-27/30 and will guarding Indonesian airspace alongside with F-16 and Rafale.
