F/A-18X ‘HyperHornet’

General Description

The F/A-18X ‘HyperHornet’ Is a 5th generation, Supersonic, Supermaneuverability stealth jet fighter developed in 2019 by the American Aerospace company, Lockheed Martin. The project, originally ‘X-732’ was designed as a light-air-to-air-night-fighter, developed with Super Cruise for high altitude combat.
In 2021, 15 Hyperhornets were exported to the Japanese Air Self Defense Force to hold off Chinese invading forces. After the JASDF captured 1 Chengdu J-20, the F/A-18X was modified to achieve speeds of Mach 3.7 to outrun intercepting J-20s.

Stuff to Note

It pretty realistic in handling so it's not a very beginner friendly craft to fly, but if your a decent pilot then you should be fine.

Avoid pitching down all the way. Only do it in emergencies.

Also, take it easy when landing. If you are gonna land anyway

There was so much more I wanted to do for it, AOA limiters, two more weapons bays, an optical targeting system, folding wings, a more completed cockpit. Better landing gears, more lights, an arresting hook etc. But the part count and part performance were starting to lag my device so I had to cut my ambition short. Basically Lockheed Martin ran out of budget.
