Boeing 797 ''Eagle Airways'' [New Slats System + ConTrails]

Auto Credit Based on Dann810's Boeing 797 (Blended Wing Body)

Tweaked, massaged, and gave a fictitious "Eagle Airways" livery to the already-superb build of Dann810!

While flying this, the first thing I thought about -- aside from it handling so well -- was that in a strange way it reminded me of an Eagle. So I did my best to come up with a livery that resembled that, however, while I like how it turned out I still thought it could use a bit more to look like one... and since I like all three, I'm sharing the other two as well! :P
Livery variant #2
Livery variant #3

CHANGES:

1) For an airliner, it felt a bit slow, even at cruising altitude, so I gave it a bit more oomph.
2) The one image Dann included of a concept rendering showed the engine nacelles snuggled up closer to the fuselage. That was the first thing I tackled, but only moved them down by 0.75.
3) Unfortunately, the move and 'more oomph' offset the CoT, and so I had to tackle getting that back to an appropriate spot (actually is even better behaved now, at lower alt). This involved shuffling around the other engine hidden inside the body, and moving the fuel tank aft. I also added roughly 1000gal more fuel, both to offset the increased fuel consumption, but also so I wouldn't have to shift the tank further back (as this made it heavier).
4) Added a silly ConTrail system, albeit, one use per flight. I'm sure there's better ways, and I'm sure someone had already used this method as well, but it was just something that came to mind and was easy enough to implement.
5) Added a Slats system of my own design, triggered by Landing Gear instead of the VTOL+TAS system Dann had. It does work, too... albeit not at the correct (low enough) speed lol Looks great, though, which is what matters! (I did plan to use a slightly different FT system, similar to Dann's, but honestly... I totally forgot about it until now hah)
6) Added a derpy ""cockpit"" for Camera 1 (default cockpit camera), complete with miniature front-windows (but otherwise unfurnished). (The center-post is glass just because of not wanting to offset the Cockpit part, so that you can still actually see through that camera mode)
8) Added L and R Cockpit Cameras, based on some drawing that said there'd be 2 on either side.

Lots and lots of minor things, like streamlining the passenger windows, tweaked the front steering speed so it wasn't as touchy, and put it on a slight part-count diet (removal of the many many window spacers used in the original; there's even more that could technically be removed, if one wanted).

CONTROLS:

For primary flight controls, please see Dann's original (link at top of page), as I've even yet to fully understand everything on this bird!
NEW CONTROLS
- Leading Edge Wing Slats are now fully automated, triggered by the Landing Gear being deployed or retracted. (There are 3 pistons and 3 hinged rotators connected to the slats [per-wing!], in case you want to change the system to be manually actuated, as you'll need to change all of them to your new input style.)
-Camera 5 views from outside RIGHT of cockpit, looking back towards the wing.
-Camera 6 views from outside LEFT of cockpit, looking back towards the wing.
- ConTrail System: AG6 to activate, and AG7 to de-activate. (One-time-use system).

NOTE: Due to a strange bug with SP, it has actually given my ConTrails system an unintended feature! After activating them through AG6, if you toggle over to Ground-to-Ground, then try to launch the ConTrails... _each time_ you do so will INCREASE the thickness of the chemic...errrr... condensation clouds that are output!! :}
One 'launch' triggers all three trails, but if you have Left-Mouse set to also fire weapons, and you don't disable the weapons (toggle off G-t-G)... when you go to pan the camera around you will launch a ton more times. If you deploy too many times, it CAN cause a performance issue for your computer/device, so remember to switch off weapons after playing with it!

PLEASE REMEMBER NOT TO DEPLOY CONTRAILS OVER POPULATION-DENSE AREAS, OR AGRICULTURAL ZONES.... [/tinfoil hat]

ConTrails after pressing AG6

Then after toggling Ground-to-Ground and launching 7 times, causing the smoke trails to 'stack'.

ENJOY!

I have to admit, it's a well-designed plane with sleek aesthetics. However, I noticed that the title 'Eagle Airways' is missing from the side of the aircraft. It would be great to see the airline's name prominently displayed. Nonetheless, overall, I appreciate the quality of the design.

lawl Put it on a part-count-diet, only to have it come in at 26 parts HIGHER... GG, me.
Still, it was a good trade, IMO! Though my "derpy cockpit" ate up 30 just by itself. Slats system accounted for another ~50ish total, and then another 5 for the ConTrail system.
