It's the year 20XX and planet Earth is overpopulated. In fact the available land is so sparse they had to reduce airport sizes. This led to all airliners being capable of VTOL. Takeoff at around 50% throttle. 6 VTOL engines will provide you with plenty of power. This plane actually isn't too hard to take off and land vertically, but if you'd like to land it like a normal airliner that works fine too. (Oh, and in the future it was decided planes should look cool)
