I have an idea, separate the cockpit from the plane, so the pilot does not need to experience the significant gravity of maneuvers.
So, to demonstrate the idea, I choose not any model of myself, but the original pigpen of the software. Just push the throttle up, and you'll find you are left on the ground, with the flight instruments, the seat, and the cockpit. So, you can fly IFR on the floor. Also, you can press C to change to rc view, this will auto-focus on the airplane.
I do know there are several CCTV mods and navigation map mods, these mods could add map chart instruments and an OTW view to the cockpit on the floor, then the cockpit will be a full-function ground control station. But this will make you have to install the mods and support only the PC version. If you'd like, I will make the version with more modifications to Pigpen
