Curtiss F9C-2 Sparrowhawk 9061

2,083 Turdy1  8.0 years ago

Bureau Number 9061 was the sixth and final Sparrowhawk purchased by the US Navy. It was painted with lemon yellow section markings. The crash of the USS Macon off the California coast in 1935 resulted in both the end of the Navy's rigid airship program and the loss of four of only six Sparrowhawks built, including 9061.

Notes:
All six Sparrowhawks I've uploaded are made to the correct size as the originals, but feature retractable landing gear to compensate for the lack of removable, spatted gear used on the originals, and they have their guns moved to the wings, as the game lacks synchronized guns.
