The Fillet-class armed trawler is a mainstay of the MWBS (Men Who Build Stuff) naval force, serving both as powerful weapons platforms as well as critical battery-recovery vessels.
The trawlers are outfitted not just with heavy-duty fishing equipment to scoop car batteries out of the ocean, but also their remarkably heavy arsenal consisting of a variety of different weapons systems.
These weapons include:
-1 50mm cannon
-3 Inferno Anti-Ship Missiles (Emergency use only due to prohibitive cost)
-2 113 kg torpedo tubes
-4 fixed-mount remote-fire machine guns
-Any firepower the crew may have brought with them
The Fillets are also fitted with flares to disrupt enemy targeting systems.
Unfortunately, the Fillet design is hampered by a lack of AA armament, being dependent on escorts and air cover to protect against hostile Eel Protectorate aircraft, and low speed, only being capable of 32 km/h in good weather.
Regardless of these faults, the Fillet-class is a reliable design and has proven vital in the war against the Eel Protectorate.
