It arrived in the country in the late 1960s, operated by Aerolíneas El Salvador (AESA, SZ/SZA) with the registration YS-032C. In December 1976, it was officially acquired by the Salvadoran Air Force (FAS), which assigned it the registration FAS 301. This aircraft was primarily used for cargo transport, making almost regular flights to the United States and Panama, as well as for transporting personnel of the Armed Forces of El Salvador (FAES). Its last recorded flight took place in 1991, and unfortunately, it had to remain grounded due to incomplete repairs to its fuel tanks.
Since 2004, this aircraft has been part of the static display on the south ramp of the National Aviation Museum. In March 2013, it underwent an internal renovation, transforming it into a computer lab for schools near the Ilopango Air Base. As part of the restoration, it was given a new coat of paint and its original registration, FAS 301, was restored.
Hit was one of the slightly trickier models I had to make because I had to run a line across the entire fuselage, which looks a bit rough up close, but it's the best I could do.
