F-18 if russians got a hold of it
a second edit of the Wasp STOL, now with better maneuverability, similar to that of a Su-30SM.
(yes the number on the stabilizer and the nose says 67. im so hilarious amirite)
EDITS:
From my other STOL Wasp (performance):
- moved COM closer backwards for better PSM initiation
- changed canards a bit
- more spaced out engines for better PSM control
From original Jundroo Wasp:
- added TVC
- added canards
- moved COM closer backwards for better PSM initiation and maneuverability
- changed livery to russian
- changed number to 67 rather than 17.
- a few visual changes
COBRA INFO:
the moved back COM means it can be a bit more unstable than the OG wasp, but it also means that you can Cobra!
- make sure AG8 is off, the TVC can be janky and will mess up the cobra.
- at medium speeds (around 300-500 KTs), press AG5 ON and AG6 ON, then pitch up until you stall out.
- when your nose goes straight up, pitch down until you level out. the Wasp's STOL capability means you'll get your precious lift back easily.
- you may gain some unwanted altitude if at higher speeds, and it might not even work at lower speeds, so go for something more in the middle, more around 350-400 KTs.
- dumping flares during the cobra is 100% tuff and does tell missiles to flip off effectively.
Question: what happens if you just keep pitching up during the cobra?
Answer: kulbit maneuver!!! you will end up leveling out again with the canards' help, and it can look even more tuff, however since the cobra is a bit more meticulous to get right, that's why i specifically put a guide.
Question: what about the bell maneuver??
Answer: idk if that's possible without TVC, but if you can use TVC with minimal jankiness and get that awesome bell maneuver, link a video in the comments. i can do a bell maneuver with my other jets, but i seem to have trouble with this one specifically.
