What's wrong with making this work?
You talk about women and sexual expression, but are you really?
As you can see from this piece, there is little skin exposed and clothing is worn. There is also no expression that exposes the pubic area.
Even if this character were in the real world, there would be no problem.

So to speak, you guys are simply disliking this anime-like work so much that you forcefully associate it with the issue of sexual expression and make a fuss about it being inappropriate.
