*REQUIRES AIRBORNE SPAWN LOCATION*

The Yokosuka MXY-7 Ohka was a purpose-built, rocket powered human-guided anti-shipping kamikaze attack plane employed by Japan towards the end of World War II. United States sailors gave the aircraft the nickname Baka (Japanese for "fool" or "idiot").

This flying bomb was usually carried underneath a Mitsubishi G4M2e "Betty" Model 24J bomber to within range of its target. On release, the pilot would first glide towards the target and when close enough he would fire the Ohka?' s three solid-fuel rockets and fly the missile towards the ship that he intended to destroy.

I've been holding on to this build for a while now. I originally intended to build a Betty and mount this Ohka underneath it as payload but I unfortunately made the Ohka too big! To build a properly scaled Betty I would have to build a MASSIVE plane, and my iPad couldn't handle it.

So instead I've decided to release the Ohka as a standalone plane. As such, it has no landing gear and requires an airborne spawn location. It is also not the best handling craft I've built (in fact it's probably my worst) but it was a suicide craft after all, and only needed enough maneuverability to keep the nose pointed at its target.

For this Devine Wind harbinger, I suggest you start at the North Island Final Approach and try to locate and destroy the U.S.S Jundroo. Pretend that you've already jettisoned from a Betty and you are fulfilling your honorable duty for the Emperor!!!

You should actually try to make one that can actually be launched from a Mitsubishi G4M2e "Betty". It would be awesome! Also quite the achievement.

@Scriefers I'm not good at making planes or stuff that look well like your planes do but I spend a lot of time tweaking so my planes fly the way I like. Im also terrible at making replicas, my only sucessful one was the mig 31 firefox... Wanna Make a plane together? Idk i'm not the best at part merging and looks but my planes fly well. Idk maybe. I remembered to ask you this when I saw the Ohka because I have a Manned suicide bomb too. Its dropped from a bomber and all that. I based it on the Fritz X glide bomb and It works quite well. I hit the tiny multiple times with it at 2000+mph. So back to the point wanna work on a plane together?

Oh shit, I had the project to make the Ohka... It was very effective: it sinks an American destroyer... I wanted to do, or an Ohka, or an V1

Nice job well done!!! Can you check my f-105's out? Also could you build a b-25 and a b-26 and can you revisit the b-29 and the b-17?

@Scriefers you will be very happy with what is coming in the propeller updates. These developers are mad scientists, and will be programming some amazing options within the new models. Don't want to ruin any surprises, but I know you will be very happy.

@WeeBabySeamus, thanks! And congrats on the new gig! I'm pretty excited to see what you'll be designing and sharing with the SimplePlanes community. I've always longed for another propeller piece. Any idea on the potential specs/dimensions of it? Will the blades be more pronounced than the current two in the game?

@Zealot5layer, I tried to attach this to a larger bomber (a Betty) but it became too large for my device to handle.

@karlosdarkness, yeah it is pretty fun, right? If you impact the stern just above the water surface it sends the Jundroo into a spin!

@Authros yeah trying to retrofit some sort of control to this one was tricky and it shows. Like I said, this was supposed to be a bomb meant for a much larger build, not a standalone craft.

@dragoncreations, check the description. I built this one for looks rather than performance (in fact I intended for it to just be payload attached to a larger plane). But I can understand your feedback. Thanks for giving her a go!

Terrible handling, doesn't fly properly, I can see why it is called the "suicide" plane

Brilliant plane. I've sen one of these in person (large RAF museum near me) , The history behind it is a nice inclusion here, if not a bit morbid, as you say that's what thus thing was all about. excellent and thought full work as always.

What a great game you've invented, just a shame Jundoo doesn't show the damage you inflict, I've had three goes and am pretty sure I would have put her in dry dock for the rest of the year.
