An upgraded version of the Su-9, the first Su-11 flew in 1061. With a more powerful radar and engine, 2 air-to-air missiles, and dual rocket pods, it was a more versatile aircraft. Howerever, only 108 were built, and was taken out of active service in the late 1980's.
