Introduction：The Democratic People's Republic of Korea is an independent country located in the eastern part of Asia on the Korean Peninsula. To the north, it borders China; to the northeast, it shares a land boundary with Russia; and to the south, it faces Japan across the Korea Strait. The East Sea, also known as the Sea of Japan (including the East Korean Bay), lies to the east, while the Yellow Sea (including the West Korean Bay) is located to the southwest. In August 1910, the Korean Peninsula fell under Japanese colonial rule. On August 15, 1945, it was liberated, and concurrently, Soviet and American troops occupied the northern and southern halves of the Korean Peninsula, respectively, using the 38th parallel as a boundary, resulting in the division of the Korean Peninsula. The Democratic People's Republic of Korea was officially established on September 9, 1948. By 1958, it announced the completion of social transformation in urban and rural production relations, establishing a socialist economic system. In 1970, it declared the achievement of social industrialization. On September 17, 1991, it joined the United Nations along with South Korea puppet regime.
