History: The F/A-18G and F/A-18H is a single seat/tandem seat ground attack version of the F/A-18D and C built by McDonnell-Douglas and United Design and Manufacturing. It’s inspiration came from the F-4G Wild Weasel. It first appeared during the Fälx Island War Games of 1987 as part of the Aviation Games. It served under the 1st Experimental Wing of the Navy until the aircraft was moved to VFA-17 “Bottle Rocketeers” for actual service.

VFA-17 Story: The squadron was created on August 15, 1967 and served under the 23rd Naval Wing until 1991 when it was moved to the 2nd Naval Wing. It operates the F/A-18G and H, F/A-18E and F, and the Su-33. It is also stationed on the DFRN Gâltron a Frontier class Aircraft Carrier. It was first deployed in Operation Machine Time to destroy a Rebellion base and sink a Battlecrusier that the Rebellion had.
