Tellurian Steel Legion - Dreadknight

1,239 Cure  2.1 years ago

Greetings again Traveller! I've returned with yet another Strider!

Here is the Manual:
- WASD Controls
- LandingGear to enter Broadside more/ Siege mode
- Go to the "Pilot cam" camera to be able to control the torso, and guns!

Note!
- this thing is god awfull slow, that's because the guns on it's back are supposed to be heavy!
- The Big boye guns are only available inside Broadside mode
- With how i did the walking, it can deal with hills decently well, don't try stuff that is too crazy though
- This is based off of the XV88 Broadside Battle suit from the Tau in Dawn of War!
- The Reticle i gave it is not perfect, it is just so you know where the guns are generally will be aiming at, horizontal wise.

Story time!
Lore:
- With the sudden appearance of the Dreadnaught, the Tellurian Forces were routed from their entrenched positions, as their weapons were as of current, unable to disable the newly discovered Dreadnaughts.

With another desperate situation, yet another commission was sent to the Forge states, the order was a strider that can withstand the heaviest of attacks, and carry their current third largest railgun, whilst it itself can defend itself effectively if it is ever caught alone.

There were only two Forges that were able to accept this request, as the others were occupied replacing all the expensive equipment lost during the routing.

These two forges that took on this task were:
Forge Libertos, and Forge Vanda.

The deadline of the Commission soon arrived, and the Templar are presented with two Striders, one from both Forges.

First to present was Vanda, They named their project model the "Vanguard", it carried Extreme heavy armor, and did not use the Railgun Model requested, instead it used the second largest Railgun model, the 800mm VX800 Railgun, it boasted, as said, extreme heavy armor, it lacked speed, but as was expected.

But it also lacked the ability to defend itself.

Next up is Forge Libertos, They named their Model the "Dreadknight" They presented a Strider with a twin VX650 Railgun mounted on the back, it boasted somewhat heavy armor, and had twin 300mm railguns for self defense.

It is time to decide.

Although the Templar were seeking destructive power, a powerful Strider that is easily disabled is equivalent of nothing.

The Vanguard was sent to the warehouse, and will await the time if it is ever needed.

The Dreadknight, on the other hand, 500 units were immediately ordered, and are to be sent to the frontlines asap.

  • That's it for this one! this was not the best lore i've done, but i have quite a bit in my hands right now, apologies!
