Torque Test

26.3k BRuthless  7.9 years ago

Testing XML-settings to achieve higher torque at same effective power. Press AG1 to detach all cars from another and put throttle up to maximum.
You'll see that all cars achieve the same topspeed, as they have the same power and same resistance, but they accelerate differently because of different torque at same weight.

The left car has the least torque with the settings at 300 HP, min="-2", max="2".
The middle car has normal torque with the settings at 600 HP, min="-1", max="1".
The right car has the highest torque with the settings at 1200 HP, min="-0.5", max="0.5".

The HP settings are different, as they represent the power at an input multiplier of 1, but the multipliers are changed, so HP has to be changed aswell to keep the power the same.

@1997toyotasupra Not everyone does, especially how it works in SP. I had this theory and thought I'd do a test on it. Well, it works. :D
