The HLC-1 itself isn't hypersonic, however the detachable jet (which is my entry for the challenge) is. To detach the jet, press one and let the engines run a little, then press two while pitching up to detach from the HLC. Top speed for the jet is way over 3800 MPH, but be somewhat gentle when manuevering over 4500 MPH. Enjoy!
