Commissioned in 3172, the Obulon is the Continuum Defense Force's primary aerospace strike bomber. It features a compact, single-seater design, giving it a much smaller profile than its predecessor, the Halcyon. It also features a hybrid aerospace fighter/starfighter design, giving it optimum performance it atmospheric and zero-gravity theaters. It also has exceptional maneuverability for its role, making it more of a fighter-bomber than a dedicated bomber. The Obulon can be outfitted with 6 unguided fusion bombs, 3 guided fusion torpedoes, or 6 fusion missiles as its payload, and is also armed with twin nose-mounted plasma cannons for self-defense.
