XMT-20 Dragoon – Main Battle Tank
The XMT-20 Dragoon is a heavy Main Battle Tank (MBT) developed and entering service in 1980, designed for sustained, high-intensity frontline combat. It was conceived in response to the growing lethality of high-velocity anti-tank munitions and the need for a vehicle capable of prolonged operations without excessive logistical burden.
At the heart of the Dragoon is a philosophy favoring durability, firepower, and mobility over minimal size or extreme automation. Unlike lighter designs that rely heavily on speed or profile reduction, the XMT-20 emphasizes frontal survivability and mechanical robustness, reflecting expectations of dense armored engagements across contested terrain.
The tank is armed with the TC. 115 mm smoothbore cannon, selected as a balanced solution between established 105 mm systems and emerging larger-caliber guns. The weapon offers excellent armor penetration against contemporary threats while maintaining manageable recoil forces and ammunition size, allowing the retention of a manual loader and a four-man crew. This decision improves battlefield resilience and simplifies long-term sustainment.
Protection is centered on a heavily armored turret featuring early-generation composite armor, with most of its frontal surfaces being minimally sloped. This results in a thicker but highly resistant armor array optimized to defeat high-velocity 100 mm APFSDS rounds at typical combat ranges. The hull complements this with a sloped composite upper glacis, while the sides and rear retain conventional steel protection consistent with the era.
Mobility is provided by a 1,200 horsepower multi-fuel engine, giving the Dragoon exceptional power-to-weight performance for a tank of its class. This allows it to maneuver aggressively despite its heavy armor, maintain high operational tempo, and redeploy rapidly during extended engagements.

@MetallicBeef6572 Can I Help you to custom tank :D ?
im dragooning so bad~
.
Jokes aside, that tank looks cool asf. Did you take the reference from Lepurd 2?
Sorry if the information at the desc, im too lazy to read, hhe
Woah.
This is... Really nice!
@AugustVonMartis Shii wouldn't move, I tried
That is what the in game engine is anyway, canonically it would be lower, I could change that in the description
Much more realistic is one engine with 900-1200 hp
"Engine: x2 1,500 hp multi-fuel powerplant"
3000 hp?!?!?!?!?!???
He must tear up the ground, the tracks and take off like crazy.
