A bit about the Harrier The harrier was among one of the first VTOL aircraft that was not a tail-sitter, like the German triebflügel that never entered production. Many people who are not familiar with modern VTOL aircraft find it insane for the plane to rise up like something in science fiction. The harrier would usually not be used in full VTOL “mode” because it would consume so much fuel. Ag1-lights Ag2-jettison fuel tanks. Note that this aircraft is a bit speedy, so be easy on the throttle.
