Basically the same plane, main addition is Emergency in-flight Chute
The RAC Model 1X:
The 1X was a version of the Model 1 made for experimenting with possible future modifications for the Model 1, its main new features were a more powerful engine and an Emergency in-flight Parachute which could be opened by the pilot in case of emergency to get the plane to the ground safely.
