The Montgolfiere was ment to be an hot air balloon that everybody could buy. But there were some problems: it could go up to 60 mph and that is not quite safe when you are in a rush basket. Another problem was that the burner made so much noise that the pilot would be deaf after a 60 minute flight. The Montgolfiere never got really popular and Boeying abandonded the idea 1 year later. (1,2,3,4 to drop ‘ballast’ (it doesn’t do anything) to take off use throttle, go forward by pitch and turn by using roll.)
