Information on the R-5

The R-5 Cruiser is a bit of a departure from the rest of the aircraft in my Racing series so far. While the R-1,2,3, and 4 were all designed to run the Indy Air Race Circuit, the R-5 is designed for trench running courses like Typhoon Circuit and, obviously, the Trench Run Circuit.

Thrust Vectoring

The R-5 is equipped with vectoring VTOL nozzles that can be toggled either through the bound cockpit button or AG2. These nozzles provide an extra boost in maneuverability and responsiveness for those tighter turns.

VR Glass Cockpit

The R-5 has a fully interactive VR glass cockpit, with MFDs that can be toggled on and off as needed. All aircraft functions and features can be controlled in VR.

I added in some useful features for racing like a Vertical-G meter, as well as two front and center horizon indicators for nice level turns. Credit for some of the text scripting goes to whoever built the new Wasp, I stole a lot of it's cockpit components because they're great.

Some important warnings and things to know before flying the R-5
Thrust Vectoring: When to use it

Due to the offset CoT from the VTOL engine nozzles, the R-5 can develop a deep stall at low airspeeds. While this can be exploited for some spectacular aerobatics, it is recommended to avoid full stick back or using thrust vectoring until at full speed.

Fuel Warning
The R-5 has an optimized fuel load for the Trench Run and Typhoon Circuit. You may need to adjust the fuel capacity if you want to do longer races or flights. There should be about three minutes of fuel on board, with room for a lot more. The fuel load is displayed along with your throttle setting in the cockpit (this display was stolen from the wasp also).
Happy Flying! Feedback always welcome and appreciated.
