The Kestrel T-1A of the Inlandian Royal Air Force is a dual-purpose aircraft,used for point defense and training.Initial development began in 1960 by Taroli Airspace Industries,as the Inlandian Royal Air Force needed reliable,modern jet planes.At the time,the small island nation operated outdated,World War Two era aircraft and in wars most of the time relied on its' allies for larger air support.In 1963 mass production of the plane began,with 2.500 units made in the following 5 years.500 of them were purchased by Spain,Yugoslavia,Egypt,Netherlands and Saudi Arabia (combined).It would remain in IRAF's service until 1975,when it was replaced by BAE Hawk.The plane is armed 14 SNEB 68 mm rockets and AiM-9 Sidewinder air-to-air rockets.
