January 1993, three years after the Soviets pressed the big red button and brought about the nuclear demise of most of the civilized world, the far off Soviet satellite state of Vladoshok hasn't seen a new delivery of fighter for years. Communications were cut off and the Vladoshokians had no way of knowing of the nuclear annhiliation brough to the mainland. With mysterious aircraft flying over the island and no word from the motherland the Vladoshokian engineers stripped the tu-95 bombers of their engines and turned them into their own standalone fighters. Armed with air-to-air missiles and a nose mounted cannon, the propeller driven Tu-96B is nothing to laugh away. Just don't ask about the Tu-96A, it's still a touchy subject.
