So yesterday I released my semi-auto rifle, which has a magazine using gravity to feed into the chamber. This method is easy to replicate and works, but it is definitely unreliable and is inefficient when you try to make a full-auto projectile based weapons in SP. A conventional spring-based magazine much better suits this purpose, but this is impossible to replicate in SP due to certain limitations.
I've found a way around it. I still need to make it happen, but I call this the applied-pressure magazine. If you take a shock (spring) that has the length equal to the total height of the bullets, and if the shock is placed with room to spare, then it won't do anything. But if you take a piston and push the spring up, it will have the same effect as a conventional spring magazine. I know this wasn't the best explanation, but when I get a working prototype out I'll upload it.
Thanks! 😁
@TakicraftCorporation Sure!
@SnoWFLakE0s Yeah i thought so. Can i get a tag when you have some progress?
@TakicraftCorporation Most definitely. I'm struggling with execution though. The thing is hard to get right.
This sound great! What do you think, if you can make a working one, can it be used for a 'grenade' (tiny bomb) launcher?
@Roswell I know... Then again, the challenge is what makes it fun.
Interesting...
But can be pretty finicky to work with.
If only we had more XML commands
O_O .... interesting
