Can You Turn Lift On Wings On/Off

1,291 MilesTPrower  4.9 years ago

so for example: say i am building a flying car, and when it goes from air to ground it would make wings hide inside the fuselage. But when the car reaches a really high speed or even lifts off the ground a little bit, the car would begin to fly like the plane, even though the wings are hidden in the body. Is there a way that the wings could not generate lift when they are inside the fuselage?
Rotate the wings a certain direction maybe?
XML?
I don't know, but I do know that my car has a serious problem otherwise.

I'm a bit late, but this issue can be solved by adding rotators to make the wings vertical when not in use.

@BlueCitrus i will try this. good thought. and then i can just set dragScale=0 in XML so they dont slow it down

@BlueCitrus For some reason I completely missed the flying part. Only things I can think of would be making the wings smaller and making a small wing and scaling it up in XML.

I would say rotate the wings by 90 degrees

@IStoleYourMeme But then how would the car go back into flying mode?
