Making custom missiles question

573 SVT13  6.7 years ago

So I'm working on a Soviet interceptor, and I want to actually arm it, but I'd like the missiles to actually look somewhat more like the actual thing.

Is there a way to put say, a guardian, in a fuselage block decorative shell, and have the shell stay with the missile?

I'm comfortable with low level XLM work.

@SVT13 the missile will function as usual, with your fuselages strapped to it.

@WNP78 And locking on and firing will work?

You shouldn't need much XML at all. Get a detacher, and attach the short end to the plane. Attach the missile to the long end and your decorative fuselage to the back attach point. You'll need to nudge them all together (the detacher goes with the missile), and you may want to use fine tuner to scale the detacher down.
