Just trying the 3d modeler (i'm using blender) now, can i import?
Currently at least ,it is not available to import obj files into simeplanes in my opinion. Because i also would like to import obj files of my F-16 fuselage Sections I made on blender.
I made a program to do just that: this
I know, it's a bummer. But it's still cool to be able to export. @MrWarPac

You cannot import into Simpleplanes, if that's what you mean.
