Hi guys. I'm making a comeback to help a dear friend. VikDesings he been debating leaving this community as it is not rewarding anymore and it has degraded a lot. He spent hours or even days on his last 3 planes and he has gotten a fraction of the upvotes he deserves/used to get. Now he is debating leaving the community. Should he stay or should he leave? Please answer in the poll.

STAY!!!
Stay! I know what it is like to spend a lot of time and energy making a plane, get excited about posting it, only to have 2-4 people upvote it. It will make you want to scream at them and say "I spent 48 hours building this! It is awesome, and all you can do is download it?!?!" But then there's times when you post a plane and you get lots of upvotes and comments that make it worth it. I think one thing is that @VikDesings doesn't post often enough so every time he posts, some people notice him ,but then he waits another month to post and all the people that noticed him earlier are either gone or have forgotten about him or thought he left and un-followed.
Honestly-- look. I pour my heart and soul in to every craft I make-- I spend hours and hours on each craft, articulating it, trying to make sure it's up to scratch. I don't get all that much. I upload and create for the joy of creating and uploading it. While points and notoriety are certainly a plus, your true reward should be you stepping back, admiring your latest masterpiece and saying... "I made that. That's mine." THAT-- should be our reward. Points are but a small plus.

@Rohan I never go far my friend. ;) I take a lot of breaks because of work/life but I post roughly once a month. Building/flying/driving your own designs is too much fun to stop doing, even if I'm the only one who cares I'm doing it. Keep at it @VikDesigns !
@PlanesOfOld Ah i see. I was unaware of all the deeper drives behind your decisions. That makes sense then.
You do not understand our motives, we have been here for the majority of the games life, we shared a rating system that was often unfair and easily exploited in a bad way, ratings were not given out like chocolates on Halloween as they are now, that last bit is a reason why we feel the enjoyment has been slightly nerfed. To get a nice comment on one of my planes used to make my day, and a 5 star rating would mean everything to me, as the planes used to take sometimes days to build back then so it was entirely worth the time and effort to find out that other people liked your creation not just you liking your creation (we all love all our builds let's be honest) unfortunately lately Vik seems to have only gotten attention from his closest followers. His planes get dragged down into the depths of the hottest page because some platinum has made a low quality plane that takes 5 mins to build and gets 50 odd upvotes for it, if we are not rewarded for our time then what's the point in even uploading? This is the reason why very old plats and golds are leaving the game, not because they are being hated or annoyed, because they don't feel well.... Like they used to... One of a kind,., now any old person no matter how skillfull can.bodge together a piece of utter garbage in 5 mins call it a plane and get 50 upvotes for it,.. Rediculous, and that's why none of us back in the day liked the users 'SoundOfLight' and 'HomersDoghnut' all they built were trashy planes and they just got high ranks because they bargained with people to get rates..... I was also talking to him about this, he was asking me to download his best creations as he was deleting his account, TBH I was honoured that he even mentioned the possibility of me re uploading them as a memorial of his skill in the future.... I hope he stays...

For him it's not about the upvotes. It's about the state of the community for him right now. @AntiSphere
You shouldn't build planes for the upvotes. You should build planes because you enjoy the experience. If you like your plane that's all that matters
