Scaling a landing gear

835 LetonVignec  7.9 years ago

Hi everybody, I've another question, this time about XML modding.
I've downloaded first object ( http://www.firstobject.com/dn_editor.htm ) to edit XML files, and I was wondering how, with XML modding, I can scale a part, and more particulary, a rear landing gear, as I found no option in my plane's XML file.

Thanks :)

PS: I'm on Win 7

Edit: way to do it:
Open with a notpad the .xml file of the plane, and add the parameter scale="x,y,z" on the same line as materiel=""

@Vinceinovich use a decimal to make it smaller, or a whole number to make it larger
0.5 would be half the size
2 would be twice the size

@Flightsonic yea i knew about notepad but i wanted to use an user-friendly software. And about the "scale" parameter, what's the unity of the X? percent?

    2 things:
    1. You don't need "First Object" just notepad will work, right click and say "open with notepad"
    2. The reason there's no setting, you have to add scale="X" after materials (X is your number)
