Hi this is the DALS Company here I bring you a frustrating question for everyone including new rankiees and the veterans.
People upload creations every few minutes into simpleplanes and to be honest most of them are good but the one thing that frustrates me the most is that none of them are being downloaded, looked at or even upvoted or commented at.
I know that there is people who make a successors aircraft and then they call it there's. Those are also the people who we should encourage to belive in them selves and to also create their own planes.
Also I belive there is not enough attention to the newest page and I have a gut feeling that most of the time it's usually and all the time the same good creators up in the 10k ranks getting on the front page and getting featured. How about letting people from 2k and 1k ranks have a shot at it aswell.
I saw a person who was rank 537 and they had an awesome creation and what I thought it deserved up to 30 upvoted and the sad thing was I was the only one who commented them and upvoted and everyone else just downloaded without the any comment or upvote.
Then I move to the next good plane and then it's the same story Over and over again. Then you see some high ranked user with awesome decals getting all the upvotes all the comments and everyone else with good creations is just forgotten about.
Most of the new people and long veterans including me have no clue on how to do that fancy stuff on how to add fancy decals and to add invisible parts.
People only see the word XML modding and they got no clue what it means or how do it and people are not giving guides how to XML mod they just point them in one direction and say here you go, find it out yourself.
Im here to say for every other user out there who are wondering about this same question. Where has the hole community gone?
Every day new planes are being uploaded and just recently its like the comminity just vanished.
There are good planes out there and one of them need to be featured but when it gets missed by people that creation remains dormant.
I had to reupload airplanes once, twice or even five times and no attention has been giving not one single proper comment or upvote not even to me or even better creators than me and even new people that just joined.
I say take your eyes off the feautred page and start looking in the newest planes and support others trying to get to the top. It will boost their self esteem and they will continue to get better with every upvote and postive comment they get.
I understand that others are in other timezones around the world but really.

it's kind of a pattern too. my most popular plane is the absolute worst and most ugly plane I've ever made.
HAPPENS ALL THE TIME TO ME :(. I feel so depressed when I spend an hour just getting the stuff to fly and another half hour making stuff look good and nobody notices. then someone else makes a shit plane and everyone loves it. so sad.

Id say I worked my boot off for a car for @ThunderscreechEngineering and then I posted around most popular time of day I got 4 upvotes instead of my usual 15 on my cars

@TehDuck I have the mobile beta, and so do many others.
Been here a year and a half, roughly and still going... And still at silver XD . But XML modding is really an old term, before the days of real modding, and editing the XML then was, in a way, modding. It's why that term ever came into being. It really is just XML editing.
And as for the community vanishing... It's nearly the end of the school year! Of course it will vanish temporarily, as a lot of people will be taking finals and getting HW done(at least in the US, which off the top of my head is where the largest % of the SP community is).
Me, personally, I don't really have the time to browse through large portions of the newest section, and really only take glimpses at it.
It's not about the upvotes, it's about the fun you have making the planes, before you say "your at 10k you don't matter", I only recently got to 10k after 11 months with making planes that I like to make not by making what's popular.
You totally right! Also, the time zone problem is also apparent. I live in Central Europe, so by the time it's afternoon in America, any uploaded planes are already off the newest page.
This really annoys me, there are great planes out there with no downloads or anything. I built my plane, the AP-265 "Hypo" and, as you can see. nothing.

I've noticed that too. I had a creation that i took 2 1/2 hours making and no one downloaded/commented or anything. I ended up sadly deleting my creation. I spent 2 hours for nothing
I do occasionally look at the newest tab, the reason why I don't look through it all the time is because when I look at it, there is nothing but 100% exact copies or YouTube planes that are just one block with a cockpit and some wings, something they just threw together in 35 seconds just so they get in a video and put zero effort in it, agian they just do it just for a video and their done. Those are the type of planes I see when I look at the newest page, true that there are really good planes in there, but I never see them, because of what I just said.
