I do have most of those parts in my subassemblys actually (all though I never use them...)

I just uploaded some (one) Training Aircraft, I'm sure it's not as good as General's training aircraft, but it works.

I would have killed for this when I started playing ( but then again, they didnt even have rotators then lol)

I do that for cockpits. No drag if you can get them close enough. @PINK

Part clipping is your friend, you can shrink down fuselages and place a part, then if you resize the fuselage, it will stay there.... A good use for this is landing gear @bspboy
