In the months leading up to WWIII, the once horrid country known as North Korea had Kim Jong Un thrown out. He was ejected due to an affair with his own mother....yes, that's right. Afterwards a new democratic system was formed, and the country's population increased, along with its GDP. They now had enough money to invest into their military and other services ran by the state.
Farming, mining, and engineering took off. Aided by the fact that all political prisoners were freed. They went on to design, and produce many great aircraft and vehicles. They even brought in JastorIn to help (JastorIn=me). Sadly, a actual nuke had been built when the country was still under communist control. The massive warhead was strapped to a plane. Several hours later Turkey had been nuked, and WWIII had began.
The communist hardliners framed the normal N.F.K. Government. NATO soon attacked, but Russia came to support the N.F.K.
