seriously, this always happens. this LRP thing has practically flooded the lower portion of the forums, though not as bad as other RPs I've seen. but, can people just please, not spam the forums with war RP. it's kinda annoying.
(and no I'm not making a war RP, I'm just calling out the flood of LRP)

@Randomplayer I honestly believe that a good RP needs a gamemaster (or two) to manage and oversee things.
There just so poorly mismanaged too. I remember joining an old RP and it was so much of a shit show, I let after like 2 days
@Boeing727200F We actually have a limit of 2 or 3 messages per day per person (I think it's 2, but I don't remember), but when everyone uses these two posts at the same time, this great wall of nothing appears

yeah but you have cases like (I think) KE-RP where for like a hot second the entire forum area was full to the brim of that RP. and the fact that practically almost all RP forums are just random spam of people saying "I DECLARE WAR ON EVERYBODY" "MY COUNTRY HAS DECIMATED X COUNTRY" "I MOVED THIS BOAT BY 2 FEET TO THE LEFT" "I NUKED THIS COUNTRY 45676543567283947823659876987269418666 TIMES AND WON" "[insert literally the most random thing ever labeled under a RP]" "I MADE A WEAPON THAT WILL DECIMATE EVERYTHING". putting up with it doesn't work as well as you think. imagine this. you just spent like 1 week working nonstop on your best aircraft ever and you decide to post a teaser. you wait for a day for nothing to come up with your teaser because it was overshadowed by meaningless RP posts. ive seen that happen to pretty famous users on this site. I do know of a RP that has done well with like each RPer only able to post 2 forums a day and that worked just fine. the RP did well, the only reason why it ended. wait I don't really know, I think there was just so much drama and infighting that it kinda just ended. if your RP cant work without limiting the amount of posts a day? womp womp, I guess it wasn't destined to success.

The problem here is the phenomenon of RP itself. If RP is without posts, it will die within a day or two (ÄRP and SGW-RP are proof of this, and these are only the ones in which I participated).
Here we either force everyone to give up RP or put up with it

I wouldn't mind, BUT almost all important messages on the main forum just disappear in the stream and no one except 2 people will see them, yes If we take only me, then I try to do a maximum of 1-2 forums a day and most likely with long breaks in between them
I do agree on RPs, however. I'm willing enough to ignore RPs, but please, people, try to keep a reasonable pace with these things.
Maybe they've gotten better, but KE-RP was such a hot mess of recess politics and Crayola constitutions that my immediate impression of new RPs has been significantly lowered. Unless something new comes along that's verifiably of actually decent quality, I'm keeping a distance.
