At what point is it no longer worth waiting?
When do you realize you'll never actually finish it?
I have an idea how how long I'll wait.
Honestly, I’ve no idea how to feel about this. Good omen or bad, I'm not sure.
Guess I'm just curious what you people think. How long you wait. When you realize there's nothing worth saving.
@Graingy poor flight characteristics. the build itself is outdated and has a ton of drag. also the original build wasnt really designed to go above mach 1. its payload also has increased leading to the aircraft to be constantly suffering from reliability issues. added too much fuel that and fuel hungry engines that its in a constant fight to stay in the air. i pushed the aircraft beyond its limits already, and with me constantly attempting to overhaul, rebuild, and retrofit new parts and redo its flight characteristics, it just now a mash of parts resembling a brick with wings.
i refuse to let it die, but the plane is just a shell of its former self.
@Boeing727200F what was the issue?
@Boeing727200F same bro.
Uh if this is solely about SimplePlanes then I can’t say anything.
i dont give up i simply forget to finish it!
Then it turns into a build that occupies my unlisted for days then months and even years. Most of the time they don’t even leave my head under an empty “I’ll build it later”.
Or it turns into my B-53 where even after 48381 rebuilds and reworks it still suffers from the same underlying issues, the original airframe is tired and from a bygone era of my building skills.
Depends on how hopeful or desperate the situation is.
If it's impossible on some points. Fir example, on relationships—or lovelife, let's say that. If you're still waiting for that person. Just give up. And fix, focus on yourself.
But on other things; it's best to just let it go. It'll gonna be replaced with something better. Not today, tomorrow, next day, next week, next month. Someday
I shelf them.. but occasionally also upload them if they're either : nothing to improve upon cause I just don't want to or something(kinda my Me-263? also my Concerto Binder), nothing I can do to fix it(my V-173 pancake), or it's fxkd up enough(my syahuur-dzhamiv walker).
@ComradeBazookaBall I usually don’t either.
@Graingy In that case, I never give up, because I never publish builds when I give up on them.
@ComradeBazookaBall it counts as giving up when you stop building and publish anyways because you can no longer bear the weight of your own expectations
Does it count as giving up if I decide to stop building it and not publish it?
If no, I never give up!
If yes, uhhh, I give up after random amounts of time, days, weeks, months, hours even.
