To avoid politics is to throw in with the sort that made up the “America First” crowd and their ilk in the 1940s, who’d rather cover their eyes and pretend nothing was happening while letting the Nazis prey upon others virtually uncontested. Even if your own country is stable internally, the world isn’t. You need to care.
