the cannon in simpleplanes one when use as a machine cannon on jet fighter. it barely hit anything. hope simpleplanes 2 fix this.

@Monarchii
perfection :)
@SILVERPANZER that's the word I was looking for, parabolic.
@Monarchii The cannon's projectiles fly along a parabolic trajectory, approximately at the level of the gravitational Earth ≈ 9.81 m/s, and the cannon's projectiles can also change their vector and velocity, taking into account the craft's move vector and speed.
I think I'm into something here
also land goes by 1 second etc delay, air goes by rnds/s or rnds/min
@SuperSuperTheSylph @upperflat true XD, though to be fair to SP, it waaas originally less for planes(especially their autocannons) and more for.. Tanks, IFVs, and Ships.. that's probably why they have the lowest caliber be 50mm which is impossible for a normal plane to carry, let alone for it to fire faster than 600rnds/min lmfao
.
for that reason, I somewhat propose separating air and land cannon... WAIT I HAVE AN IDEA, HOW ABOUT ITS STILL ONE PART, BUT LIKE TOGGLING BETWEEN IT HAVING SLUG OR BALL BULLET, IT TOGGLES BETWEEN LAND AND AIR
.
LIKE LAND IMPLIES CANNONS BETWEEN 50mm TO 1,000mm, BUT AIR BETWEEN 15mm TO 50mm!!! HOWBOUTDAT
@SuperSuperTheSylph yea i hate to be amathematicians everytime i build cannon firerate
@Monarchii i would also love if firerate of the cannon is in rounds per second, too
I HATE ADJUSTING IT BY "MINIMUM FIRING DELAY"
AAAAAAAAAAA-
@upperflat it doesn't help that the base spread of guns in SP is hella wide, seriously WIDE. cannons are also wAAAHY too accurate as hell so it's a pain.. it's also limited by refresh rate so the lower performance devices get a debuff in RoF
@Monarchii i alway wonder why i can shoot 10 enemy plane in 10 minutes match war thunder. but it take 10 minutes in simpleplanes to make one bullet land on enemy plane.
well, guns get the help of spread which, yes, means it's less accurate but also that means that you don't have to be accurate about it lol
.
cannons meanwhile, are not only hella accurate, it also has a drop, making aiming and using it tricky kek
.
my hope for SP2 is that it adds two things(if not, atleast the first one), which is :
.
spread : self-explanatory, the cannon isn't laser accurate as it is currently so you have the chance of hitting around where you've roughly aimed.
.
drag : which means drag on the cannon's shell, that it means that the bullet slows down gradually, realistically decreasing the trajectory to something of an oblong askew curve of sorts instead of the perfect one it currently is.. it'll fuck up any autoaim but I think it's worth? nahh.. kinda not, so hopefully you can also disable it by setting it to 0 or something
