If you really connect your brain circuitry together, and fire up the neurons, it'd make a lot of sense for SP to be a super liminal game: Vast, empty expanses of water, terrain with subpar detail (at least for me, because my electrical handheld utility computer is simply ape balls) and odd structures. Like, for example, go to Windmill Farms on Maywar, turn on the heavy fog in the weather settings, and boom, you have a perfect liminal image
but the game isn't liminal, I don't really feel that feeling when I play it, and I feel like there's a very simple (planes) reason why

For me it's 1% terrain 99% realistic aircraft lol. The ocean actually makes me feel like I'm doing a long-haul flight.
Simpleplanes 2 feels like it will be less liminal. Simpleplanes 1 lacks clouds and has just flat water, along with let's just say "unnatural" terrain. Now that I think about it, simpleplanes sorta gives off that same sort of vibe from stuff like that liminal space hot air balloon picture.
