it's honestly such a weird feeling.
it's not exactly new years yet as it's 23:34 but I think it's worth to say it's been such a weird feeling.
I'll just say I'm happy to still be a part of this community
and for this year... yknow.. it's just been a road?
I started 2025 with a somber feeling, I distinctly remember it..
I was a motorcycle Uber, essentially.
I approached that year with lacking hope, neither one of that celebration other people was having, I was still ferrying people around..
I had to wait a hour for someone to finally be able to be.. what's the word for it, transported? yeah, I was new to it so I am afraid of cancelling the order.
I didn't really celebrate it, but I was thankful for the grace of having 100,000rp(about roughly... 8usd) so we could eat tomorrow
I didn't really have hope for anything at that time, thought it'll be always like this..
six months or so later, I got sick, and my contract got rescinded(or cancelled, or something to those lines) and honestly I couldn't have had feeling more worse than that to that point.
but fast-forwarding to this new year.. it's honestly such a weird feeling.
I didn't really did anything much beside small work for around 3-4 months, we moved(read:"evicted"), bled, had to do everything we can do, and honestly it's nerve-wracking in everyway I can explain.
(bear with me as I explain how to commit mental "sudoku")
then we finally got to church, and for the last 2-3 months we got better.. not financially exactly, but we found joy in God? it's abstract but honestly it works so why should I contend without God?
among a few words that struck me(from Pinterest) is :
My God is the God of Spinozza; He doesn't reside in just Churches, or Prayers, or solitude; He is everywhere, so put down your book and enjoy Him and his creations.

I think it really started when I heard Spinozza said that, and while I dont really take that exact words to heart, I do agree that everywhere we look, there is Him.
my sentiment? God is a both a Comedian and THE Wonderful Counselor(I prefer "advisor", but that's the most commonly word used) if you think about it. the more you pay attention, the more you see hardships as something to temper yourself with, the more you see hardships as little(and even funny) things, and the more you seek Him, the more you grow.
I know it suddenly became a preaching rambler, but God bless me and my writing mouth, it's how I felt.
also to end it, if it's hella funny, i became a Reverend's(or priest's) assistant, it's really funny tbh.

genuinely tho, most of the AI-ASAP planes were obscure(if not, less known) ones. Geoff was based on Ar 80, Doug was based on USS Akron/Macon's Sparrowhawk... actually, I think only most of them are obscure, the rest are more decently known(e.g. Fulcrum, Nachteule which is that German jet bomber, Sakura which is gunified Ohka, and.. was it Kaisen? Kansen? Senkan? AH I FORGOT BUT IT WAS BASED ON THE KI-43).

@Graingy well, for cannons there's the impactScalar or something, and the damage is calculated by multiplying that to velocity and dividing it by 1,2, or 3 and said result is the damage in points

but yeah, it doesn't calculate heft-to-weight ratio.. maybe? I got an idea I wanna test.. I'll update you on that
@Monarchii Issue is I've no idea how exactly SP (or SP2 for that matter) calculate kinetic damage. I'm not sure if weight matters, or if it's only speed.
IIRC that's the issue with cannons: it doesn't take into account projectile size, so tiny machineguns with fast bullets hit as hard as battleship shells.
@Graingy well, given if the Dynamite Gun(it's fired using Detacher; IRL it's fired by compressed air) fired a hefty fuselage piece the same weight as said projectile, I think it would've done a great deal of damage against light targets?
