I've been referred to as legendary, (in SP2 multiplayer) I disagree. Notorious more like it. My lack of appreciation for bs and social networking has gotten me into a place i well understand i am. With little active followers and friends. Not that that bothers me.
after over ten years I've finally made it to 20k points. A milestone. one MANY manage to reach sooner. MUCH sooner. and props to them weather it be building skill, style, or social skills. all roads lead to Rome, but for me i like the dirt road through the mountains and valleys and occasionally under the sea floor.
I got here mainly remastering stock builds, but answering the call to the occasional challenge. My main focus has been pushing out content not for points but because Simpleplanes, The building and flying aspect, is an addiction. Not a bad one.
There was a time i thought I'd hang up the towel but i just couldn't.
So where am i going? after reviewing the current loadout of stock planes for Simpleplanes 2 i got to thinking. There are some tools that i use to do what i do that we may not get in Simpleplanes 2, at least not right off the bat and, a full upgrade and transition is all but guaranteed, so what will I be doing?
Well first off, and I'm surprising myself with this one and I'll admit I've dabbled in the dark arts. XML modding craft for sp2 via the old-fashioned way and even backing up the files to play after the January 4th deadline is up... IT WORKS THIS TIME I KNOW... I have decided to force myself to put the game down and take that two month hiatus because i honestly need it.
AFTER THAT!!! And here's what's got me excited. I have recognized with a number of formerly active members no longer active like Toscio56, Skipperbing, and Mumpsy, Content inspired by my most favorite flight games is not being produced. These being the Crimson Skies universe, and the (long after or before the events of ace combat) Sky Crawlers Universe. two video games set in Dieselpunk worlds where aircraft driven by piston engines rule the skies.
So, I have decided that if Simelanes 2 launches, without tools like global xml modding (or in game xml modding at all) I will once again create content inspired by those two games.
As for my Hiatus I have decided to start it now, and the reason, (although stupid) is simple. I can not look at the SP2 demo's New Yoke Island anymore. It is a far (literal cry) from driftwood. and honestly once the game releases I'll probably never ever visit it again.
OHHH SKY CRAWLERS OHHH MENTIONNNEEEEDD
