@BOSKnight The Kashostanian Empire is a monarchy, an absolute monarchy, headed by the Tsar. The capital is in Elkchewal, the biggest city in this world, and something that could call all modern cities pathetic in all metrics of city size.
The empire a decade ago has come out of the First Coffee War (This world is called World of Coffee, so Coffee Wars are like World Wars) on the victor's side, they had been lenient to the one they had done a lot of the treaty-ing (The yellow nation, the Desert Empire) for compared to the other nation their ally had done most treaty-ing (The light blue nation, the Crystal North) to.
Tsar Vladimir died a few years ago, and Tsar Lucella had taken charge, and he has plans for collectivization of the nation, and rapid industrialization (Soviet-ahh stuff).
The main units of the military are the Knights of Steel (This world is a part steampunk part medieval world that takes more from its medieval side, but with tech advancements, you could get more steampunk, and even master fuel use at some point), with peasant levies and archers scattered here and there, the levies mainly defend the barren wasteland that is center Kashostania.
Kashostania also has itself a colonial empire, as you see from the red parts all over the place.

Nobody knows where thoughts come from, they just appear.

And also, I will be the Crystal North, and bring it down its historical path.
What is its historical path? Wait and see I guess.

My ideas, on said tank are as follows:
1965 upgrade: Turret replacement
1970 upgrade: Blowout rack, Better power system
1980 upgrade: Hull replacement, another crew member
1990 upgrade: Armor upgrade, ERA possible
2000 upgrade: Better optics, New gun, turret updates
