@Boeing727200F Well, it's difficult to even answer that question, besides... imma say that logic and laws of physics don't matter, what matters about this series is because they're cool and mainly focuses on the story.

Not just Fallout, but that can be any dieselpunk game, including Crimson Skies, where its enemy's machines barely suffer any mechanical issues, you know?
