Hi all,
I've been off of SimplePlanes for months. I think mayhaps a year or so since the school removed SP EDU. I bought it for myself & I have it downloaded, but I've been growing a lot. I really love this community, & something I might delve into will be Juneworigins (Can i call it that? Juno new? Junew?) since I got interested in KSP videos.

I have loved this community & seeing SimplePlanes 2 come closer to release feels surreal. Again, I haven't been super involved nor am i a SP vet to say, but this is the only forum website I've interacted with, and it is very much alive! I wanted to send this out as my experience with this community has only ever been positive.

I wouldn't call myself close with anyone here, but I really do appreciate so many people here. I'm focusing more on CAD now. ~2 years ago we had a unit on what CAD is in school, and from there I took it up. I've taken a liking to hobby nerf blasters & I'm in the middle of designing my own!

Something cool i HAVE been making which IS related to aeronerdtics (Aeronautics with fellow nerds involved who love plane, especially simple ones) is a mount I'm designing for the school wind tunnel. It's a 3d printed pinslot in a panel, and on the inside you can fit an aerofoil of choice. Then, from the outside, you can use a small M3 screw to adjust the location of a spring-loaded rack, which transfers rotation to the pinion. The pinion in question is fixed to the aerofoil, so you can adjust the angle of attack without having to take the aerofoil out of the mount!

I hope that my interest in simpleplanes will return, as I do truly appreciate how calm this community is & the amount of extremely funky trees that are grown & harvested by downloaders like me.
