After sucessful United Contanan Launches to Space and Moon Landings in 1967, the leaders of the Contanan Security Pact (CSP) decided to humiliate the Arcasian Treaty Organization (ATO) and the Non-Aligned bloc (Mainly Rumburg) even more by sending a car to space, being the first ones to do it ever. The car chosen was the Sordish Mercada W123, a relatively new car at the time.

The process of Building a rocket that can accomodate a car was tedious, however, and all CSP members in some way participated in the building of the rocket. The Launch commenced on March 18th, 1978, just a day before Wehlen capitulated during the Rumburg-Wehlen war.
