On November 28, 1939, Iwan Stefan sent a letter to the leader of Gerzia. It read:
“Hello.
For the last few months, our relations between us have not improved at all. Quite the opposite, however.
I would love to visit your country in an act of good faith, and relations.
Thank you, and I hope to see you soon,
Iwan Stefan.”
